Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question? I have an answer! If you don't see your question below, feel free to contact me!
CAN YOU MAKE MY INVITATIONS?
At this time, I am not offering invitation design services, however I am happy to direct you to a stationer and then I would love to help out with envelope addressing and anything you need the day of!
can you address my envelopes?
Of course, I love addressing envelopes! It is my bread and butter and the perfect way to set the tone for your wedding. It’s the first thing your guests will experience so make it a special one!
how do you ship?
Depending on the project, I primarily use USPS priority for shipping. expedited shipping is available for a fee. If you are outside of the U.S., that is no problem! As long as you do not mind paying the international shipping and customs fees, we are good to go!
WHAT TYPES OF SIGNAGE CAN YOU DO CALLIGRAPHY ON?
Pretty much anything! Most often, I do welcome signs, seating charts, etc. on wood, acrylic or fabric, but I love expanding my portfolio to include unique surfaces. If you have something in mind, just ask and I will do the research to see how it can be done!
can you use a surface that I provide?
Absolutely, I can source material for you, or if you have something that you’d like me to use, I am more than happy to work with it! I only require that you drop off and pick up the piece.
CAN I SEE A PROOF OF THE SIGNAGE?
Part of the process for signage does include a digital mockup. I use a computer font to depict the calligraphy so the digital proof is not reflective of what the final piece will look like exactly, but you will get a good idea of spacing and layout with the mockup. You are able to make revisions to the original mockup but any revisions beyond the first one will come at an additional fee.
How long do you need for most day of items?
For most day of items that are done by hand (signage, place cards, etc.), I require 2 weeks to complete. Rush orders are always available, just let me know and I can give you an estimate on what it will cost to expedite. Items that need to be designed and printed (programs, menus, etc.) take a bit longer, I will need 3 weeks in order to complete those assuming we have quick turnaround on communication. Again, rush orders may be able to be accommodated.
what is required to get started?
In order to get started, I require a 50% non refundable deposit to be made. My 2 week turnaround time is from the day that you pay your deposit and I get your final wording and materials.
what are your refund and cancellation policies?
For custom orders, if I have not yet put your designs into production, I will retain only your 50% deposit. After the designs have been approved for production, I reserve the right to the full amount of the invoice and I am unable to accommodate any refunds or exchanges since each item is unique and custom for you. If you notice any errors or need to make any changes after the design has been approved and is in production, it is your responsibility for payment of the original prints as well as any re-printing.
but, what if something goes wrong?!
I truly want you to be totally happy with the pieces you receive and send out to your guests so on the rare occasion that something does not turn out how you expect, please be sure to respectfully let me know if you are unhappy. I value the relationship we have and I know how much your wedding day means to you so I hope that you will come to me with any concerns and I will do my absolute best to try and work out a solution. Thank you so much for choosing me!
